||This 2011 vineyard designate Pinot Blanc comes from Saralee’s Vineyard on Slusser Road in Russian River Valley. The vineyard is located on the valley floor, and is growing on a quadrilateral lyre trellis system. We harvested just under 2 tons on October 4 at a ripeness of 23.9 degrees brix. The clusters were hand harvested and whole cluster press to tank, the juice was settled at 38º F, then racked two days later. The juice was fermented cold (62º F) for 19 days. Following fermentation the wine was racked off the lees and aged in stainless steel until bottled. This wine is free from malolactic conversion.
